Referral

Your first appointment at SMRC will be initiated by a referral from your medical oncologist, surgeon or primary care physician. This initial visit is called a consultation and will determine the role radiation can provide in the treatment of your specific disease.

Usually the referring physician will provide the copies of your records but you may be asked to bring these items with you to this visit: 

• Medical records and written reports
• Referring physician letter
• Radiology tests: X-rays, CT, MRI, bone scans, PET scans, and/or mammography. It is important that our physician review the actual films, either in hard copy or digital format.
